SAT Scores and Family Income

The strong correlation continues, as described by this graph from the New York Times Economix blog:

It makes it hard to see how to justifiably tie teachers’ salaries to test scores…

  1. I don’t know. I probably disagree with your point. Look at the 20-40k range. Why not establish the baseline score for the s.e.s. of the school (my school is 37% free and reduced) and then bonus me for scores outside predicted?
