Many interesting conferences will be held in the area over the coming months:
- The 4th International Storyline Conference, “Creating Worlds, Constructing Meaning”, will be held August 7-9, at Portland State University. Storyline is an outstanding methodology for integrating curriculum in a meaningful, creative, student centered way.
- The Washington State Council for the Social Studies fall conference will be held October 10, 2009, at Edmonds Woodway High School in Edmonds. The call for proposals is posted here. If any TAH participants are interested in developing a presentation related to our work together, I’d be happy to collaborate: contact me at your convenience.
- The North American Association for Environmental Education’s annual conference is in Portland this year. The Power of Partnerships: Creative Leadership in Environmental Education will be held October 7 – 10, with its 6th Annual Research Symposium October 6 – 7 .
Previously posted conferences include the Northwest Teachers for Social Justice conference October 3 in Olympia and, of course, our summer institute August 10-14.
